| Design |
- The Thompson T10 Europe has been designed specially for the European market, it fills
the gap for a medium size racing yacht that is capable of being towed on a trailer that
can be dry sailed. T10 has a removable rudder and a lifting keel being a pure racing yacht
with a large roomy cockpit with all sailing controls carefully placed for ease of use,
yet we have managed to provide a functional interior for racing and short cruising.
- Performance will be exhilarating with a large sail plan and a heavy lead bulb for added
stability. The boat is expected to be capable of beating the bigger boats upwind and to
blow them away downwind. We have completed extensive testing on the design and have shown
exceptional light air performance both upwind and downwind and yet it is a very stable
and fast boat in a breeze. This boat is ideally suited for both inshore and coastal
racing. The hull sections are a development of our successful T30 being fine upfront to
allow the boat to sail well in a chop.

 |
| Hull and Deck |
- These boats are hand made using the best materials and methods available, all the
skins and cores are manufactured using epoxy resins throughout. Carbon, kevlar and
e-glass are used in the hull and decks to provide a strong and stiff structure. The
keel incorporates a high tensile beam for safety and stiffness.
- Everything is easily at hand, functional and smooth. Despite the vast power of the
rig the boat is easy for less experienced or shorthanded crews to handle, but never
stop rewarding the most experienced sailors.

 |
| Interior |
- The boat's interior is spacious and functional yet it is still cosy and suitable
for weekend trips with the family. There is plenty of headroom in the cabin with
the 1.8m interior height. T10 has accomodation for 4-6 adults depending on the
interior configuration. Modern and clean decor is painted with white glossy
polyurethane paint with stylish teak finish.
- Main cabin features forward facing chart table (optional) and modern looking,
compact but functional galley. There are also two long berths and easily removable
table.
- Aft berths can be found both sides of the engine room under the cockpit. Berths
can be changed to pipecots if more race optimized interior is preferred.
- Forward cabin can be either standard vee-berths, portapotti under the
berths and small sink between main and forward cabin or it can be left more
clean and open sail stowage space.
|
|
 |
| Sail plan |
- The sail configuration uses non overlapping jibs and asymmetric spinnakers. The
mainsail has a carefully designed roach profile that allows the air to exhaust when
required. The bow prod articulates internally and retracts into the hull when not
in use. This allows deeper angles to be sailed downwind. Bow sprit can be locked
to the center position in case the rules prohibits the articulating prods.
